Welcome to my website. My name is Sally Rankine and I live in the glorious county of Wiltshire in a small village near to Bradford-on-Avon. We have open countryside behind our house and miles of footpaths. We make full use of this freedom and our dog loves it. I am married to Stewart and have two grown-up children and two grandchildren.
My husband and I are very lucky to work from home so I can devote all my time to my dog and my new hobby of showing my Labrador Blondie. We very much hope to have another girl to join our home this year and to show later on. I have been truly bitten by the showing bug and have met and made some lovely friends.

In 2007 I decided to look for a yellow bitch to show and hopefully breed from in the future after all relevant health tests had been done. I contacted Chris and Claire Mills of the successful Lembas kennel as I liked the look of their dogs and they are closely related to the Sandylands lines, another of my favourite type of Labrador.

I visited Chris and Claire and was immediately impressed with their beautiful dogs, their temperaments and the fact that most of their dogs live in the house with them. I fell in love with the beautiful Lembas Wish Upon A Star and was thrilled when I was told I could have one of Star's puppies from her next litter. I visited Chris and Claire often and saw Star's puppies on the scanner.

On the 12th February 2008 Star's pups were born and I followed their progress with visits and updates from Claire. At six weeks of age the pups went to London to film the new Andrex television ad. Blondie took a starring role as she was one of the most outgoing personalities. So I now have my own real life Andrex puppy.

Blondie has a huge zest for life and exuberance that meant we had a few mishaps early on in the showring. Not a good combination...a novice exhibitor and an over enthusiastic puppy!! However we regularly went to our ringcraft classes and eventually came to an understanding that in the showring at least I was the boss. Blondie has taken some nice results this year including 2 Best In Show (qualifying for Crufts 2010), 2 Reserve Best In Show, two Group 1, a Group 2, a Group 3 and two Group 4, nine Best of Breed, and four Reserve Best of Breed.

She continues to delight us and we love her dearly and couldn't imagine life without her.

Blondie has now been joined by a sweet liver and white pointer girl called Jilony Heaven Can Wait (Maisie) who we hope will follow in Blondie's footsteps in the show ring.
