| Welcome to my website. My name is Sally Rankine and I live in the glorious county of Wiltshire where we have access to lots of open countryside and miles of footpaths. We make full use of this freedom and our dogs love it. I am married to Stewart and have two grown-up children and two grandchildren. My husband and I are very lucky to work from home so I can devote all my time to my dogs and my new hobby of showing. I have been truly bitten by the showing bug and have met and made some lovely friends. |
I was always drawn to the Pointer ring whilst at the shows. The grace and elegance of the pointer reminded me very much of my other love, horses. I decided that I would like to show a pointer and contacted Jill Anthony of the Jilony kennel in Derbyshire. Jill was expecting a litter and I put my ‘order’ in for a liver/white bitch. Luckily although there were only three born in the litter there was a little liver girl. I picked up Jilony Heaven Can Wait in October. We called her Maisie and found her to be a very outgoing, sweet natured girl who took everything in her stride. Training her to the whistle was so easy as she picks things up so quickly and is eager to please. Maisie made me very proud by attaining her Junior Warrant and now at just over 2 years old she has also won her Show Certificate of Merit. She is a very loving girl and has made a new partnership with Becca Mills who is doing extremely well with her in Junior Handling. ![]() We are now hoping that we will be having a companion for Maisie later this year. We don’t know what sex but it will be an orange/white so at least she will have a playmate that can keep up with her on walks!! On the 30th November 2010 a beautiful orange and white girl came to live with us. Tenshilling Rags To Riches at Fyldefair, known as Lola was born on the 3rd of October and I am looking forward to taking her into the ring alongside Maisie. Thanks must go to Carolyn O’Neill, Lola’s breeder for allowing her to come and live with us. Well what an amazing time I have had with Lola. By the age of 10 months she had gained her Junior Warrant. During her puppy career she won 18 Best Puppy in Breed, 2 Best Puppy in Show 8 Puppy Group 1 wins and even managed 3 Reserve Best of Breeds! Overall I was most proud of her Champ show wins where she took 2 Best Puppy in Breed and won the Pro Plan Puppy stakes on 3 seperate occasions twice with classes of over 50! I have thoroughly enjoyed showing this girl, very different from Maisie, this one is far naughtier, but I was warned! |
